Photo of the Week…Cajun Country

My friend Austin Orr and I just returned from my second three day scouting trip to Louisiana this month. It was also Austin’s first time fishing Louisiana.

We couldn’t have asked for better conditions. The fishing was off the charts. Austin managed to catch his personal best black drum, sheepshead and broke his personal best redfish on fly several times over. The fish pictured above was caught on the last cast at the last spot on the last day and was Austin’s largest fish of the trip.

I will be spending two months in Louisiana guiding at the start of the year. If you’d like to sight fish for big bull reds with fly or light tackle give me shout.

Here’s a couple photos of some notable catches from the trip.
